Unique Trailerable Trimaran with Foils
I found this interesting, 26-foot long, trailerable trimaran on YouTube. I’ll let the video speak for itself.
Posted information about this boat (at YouTube) says the following …
– A fellow by the name of Glen Roberts built this Hydrofoil trimaran
– Took 15 years to build and was taken out on the water this year (2012)
– Made of epoxy & glass, with a Plascore skin construction
– Dimensions are 26′ x 31′ … 3 T-foils (9′ tall)
– Trailing flaps are controlled by 3-foot pedals
– Craft is currently powered with a 30-hp longshaft Suzuki 2-stroke engine
– Next planned step in the building process is to add mast, rigging, sails and tramps
I’d love to talk to the designer/builder. (Maybe he’ll find this post and contact me so we can learn more about this craft :-)
