Sailor and self-boatbuilder Lenny H launched his new Seaclipper 24 trimaran this past September. He shares some glimpses of both its building and launching in the following YouTube video. (It’s a great one too … 7 minutes long).
For anyone that wants to know more about this sailboat (one of the newer small tri designs by John Marples), I’ve included links to previous posts about it here at smalltrimarans. (more…)

The Searunner 25 Trimaran is the smallest model in the classic Searunner series, which has been around for many years now. It’s hard (for me) to imagine what it would be like to sail across an ocean aboard a 25-foot boat. And yet, that’s exactly what some sailors have done on a Searunner 25. (more…)

John Marples gave me permission a couple of weeks ago to announce that he is currently working on a brand new model in the “easy-to-build” Seaclipper line of trimarans. He and Jim Brown are calling it the “Seaclipper 24 Trimaran” because it’s obviously going to be in the 24-foot range.
One thing that will separate the 24 from the just-released Seaclipper 20 model is a “cuddy cabin.” This was something Jim Brown wanted to include on a boat this size … if it wasn’t too big. (more…)
