Weekend in a Wavelength 780 Trimaran

Wavelength 780 trimaran designer Bob Forster recently published another newsletter. I always enjoy reading it and he let me excerpt a part of it for this post.

As you’ll see, a bunch of multihull sailors from New Zealand and Australia have made these trailerable tris their boat of choice. The following short story was written by Bob’s friend, Tony Murray, who helped crew Bob’s sailboat for a recent outing. FAQs About the Wavelength Trimaran

The Wavelength Trimaran was first featured in this post at smalltrimarans.com, and then again in this follow-up piece. It’s an attractive boat for a number of reasons, including the fact that it’s a large, beautiful craft that pushes the outer limits of the “trailerability” scale.

To put it another way, some sailors who posses enough disposable income are going to acquire Wavelength building plans and use them to construct their own trimaran “mini-yacht.” (more…)
